Lawn Bowls Section AGM
Please be reminded that the Annual General Meeting of the Lawn Bowls Section will be held on the on Thursday, 21 March, 2019 at 7:00pm.
All Section Members are invited and encouraged to take part in the nomination of the Officers to serve on the Lawn Bowls Section Committee and to attend the AGM in order to take part in the voting.
JAM, SPAM and ADAM must attend the Section AGM as it is one of the major functions of the Section. (At the General Committee Meeting held on the 21st May 2018, it was agreed that Sports Preferred Associate Members under commitment are required to attend their respective Annual General Meeting)
Nomination of officers’ form will be posted on the Section’s notice board and will be removed 7 days before the Section AGM.
Increase n the Monthly Subscription for Members
It has been brought up in the 2018 Club AGM to pass a resolution to increase the monthly subscription for the biggest categories of Member to HK$1,850, representing a significant 19% increase of HK$300 pr month. The resolution has been voted down.
The Club Chairman Mr. Mike Wood has told me that there might be some element of frustration in the Lawn Bowls Section culminating in many of the LBS members voting against the proposed subscript increase, with a failure of many section members to properly understand the financial affairs/situation of the Club.
Mr. Mike Wood suggested to arrange his financial officials to attend part of our AGM on 21st March 2019 and think that would be a good way to provide some information to the LBS members.
KTS Initiative Premier League 2019
KTS Initiative Premier League 2019 is organized by the HKLBA and sponsored by the Kai Tak Sports Initiative Foundation Limited this year.
The League will start on 13 April 2019 and the deadline for Club entry will on or before close of business 20th February 2019 (Wednesday). Exact date of the first game will depend on the number of entries and grouping of divisions. The sign-up form for the Premier League has been posted on the Section’s notice board for Section members’ enrolment and the deadline for signing will be on 18th February 2019, Monday. Numbers of teams entered into the KTS Premier League 2019 highly depends on the number of Section members’ signing up and their availabilities.
Re-claim of Lockers from Inactive Members/Members playing or other clubs
It’s please to inform that the re-claim actions have been completed. Every current league game members are provided with an indoor locker. Just to remind that items collected from those inactive members/members play for other clubs will be disposed by the end of February 2019 and will be disposed in accordance with the Management’s instruction.
